|| one thing that i pride myself on is my knowledge of bands, known and unknown to the common folk. yea... ok... i don't have much to be proud of so let me bask in my glory. but anyway,
because i know of so many bands, i feel it my duty to inform you (the reader) about these awesome bands in the hopes that you to will realize how wonderful they really are. so in this
page i have included the band name, how i first heard of them, featured songs, and a website if aplicable. now keep in mind that these are only some of my favorites and may not reflect
your views and opinions...if this is the case i would advise you to do one of two things... a) go shove your head up you ass... or b)send me an e-mail pertaining to the band and i will check
them out. if i like it, they will be put on this site... if i don't like it... then you have horrible taste in music. but have no fear... you can be saved... just listen to every band on this site and you will be ok...it's gonna be ok....

|| Ok Go is a band that i read about in Rolling Stone a while back. in the artical they were compared to Weezer. well i didn't think this was possible so i gave them a listen. i was really blown away because they mix both hard rock, almost stadium rock, songs and indie pop. they are also very witty about their songs. They aren't your typical rock band in the sense that theirs songs are very well put together and smart. if you like Weezer and Queen, then Ok Go is your band.

and queens of the stone age. i was so incredibly amazed. picture
if you can the ramones filtered through 80's heavy metal and 90's
grunge... if you can picture that... then you have the burning brides
i also had the oportunity to meet these fine young folks the last time
i saw them at the Grog Shop.

    || i first heard the anniversary riding to the mall with my ex's sister.
they are another band that is in their own catagory. they are a 5 piece with 2 guitars, bass, drums and keys. by combining subtle harmonies and catchy melodies they have built a masterpiece in their latest cd Your Majesty.

    || hot rod circuit is a cool band that i heard about from a friend of mine. they are a really good hard rock band. with straight drum beats and distorted guitars they manage to use these elements to create masterful works, in which no two sounds alike. they are definently worth a listen.

    || now here is a cool band that i saw opening for the Anniversary and the Burning Brides at the Grog Shop. another band that really impressed me... they are really tight and use a combination of bass and keyboards to carry the songs instead of the typical guitar. their songs are an interesting mix of indie rock filtered through 80's pop. their upbeat songs can't help but make you feel happy all over!
